We have partnerships with a range of community organisations, increasing the amount of opportunities and facilities available to our members.
Doing things in everyday community settings allows members to learn many key skills and feel connected to their community. This includes visiting workplaces, towns and villages, using libraries, public transport and leisure centres.

Mind the Gap
Mind the Gap is a learning disability theatre company with the aim of creating equal opportunity for performers with learning disabilities. With this shared vision for equal opportunities, we enjoy taking part in their creative workshops and performances with them.
Square Chapel Arts Centre
Square Chapel Arts Centre is a venue which offers theatre, live music, comedy, family shows, workshops and more. We often have the opportunity to be involved in their events, such as showcasing our artwork and performances by our Magpies Movers dance group.
Phoenix FM
Phoenix 96.7 FM is a community radio station based in Halifax. We attend the station for workshops, learning about radio production and what goes on behind the scenes. We also have the chance to go live on air, talking about the work we are involved in at Magpies and play some of our favourite music.
North East Producers
Northeast Producers are a travelling theatre company who provide us with fun performances here at our centre. This includes a Christmas pantomime which we look forward to each year. They are all about making theatre accessible for everyone, turning Magpies centre into the West End!
