Magpies is a vibrant, warm and caring place that offers opportunities to meet individual’s needs and we are excited to develop a sensory room and changing room facilities to help us achieve this.
Introducing a sensory room will provide physical and mental stimulus for our members. For people with disabilities, interaction with sensory stimuli can help them to develop their sight, sound, touch and hearing, as well as encouraging independence.
This calming environment will allow our members to work through any difficult emotions in a safe and supportive space, together with a member of staff who will also benefit from this environment.
As well as developing a sensory room, we are also pleased to be introducing a changing room to meet the needs of our members and accommodate those with more complex needs.
